General Binding

MEMU offers efficient and convenient spiral binding for its pages, with a wide range of binding options available. With proper utilization, buyers can become experts or masters themselves. Most of the spiral-bound pages already meet market demands, and each binding method has its own unique features. When choosing spiral binding, if buyers don’t need to frequently modify the number of pages, it is advisable to apply adhesive treatment at the binding point upon factory delivery, or buyers can apply white resin glue themselves and let it dry at the knot. In the future, when modifications are needed, simply wet the binding point to dissolve the glue and successfully unlock it. For buyers who choose screw binding and don’t need to frequently modify the number of pages, it is recommended to tighten the locking point or use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten it.

The most common general binding method may not be suitable for every industry’s usage habits and applications. Choosing a binding solution that is beneficial for business use will determine its fate in future usage.

Hoop Binding

Pages are securely fastened together using sturdy metal rings. It is durable and easy to handle, facilitating easy flipping and updates. Whether it's a thick report or a thin booklet, metal ring binding provides reliable support.

Apron Binding

Pages are securely fastened together using flexible plastic rings. This binding method is simple and convenient, suitable for various documents and reports. Plastic ring binding allows for easy flipping, and pages can be fully opened, making it convenient for reading and photocopying. Additionally, the plastic rings have some flexibility, allowing for the addition or replacement of pages. However, plastic ring binding may experience wear and looseness after prolonged use. Therefore, when choosing a binding method, it is important to consider the size of the document, frequency of use, and long-term preservation requirements.

Perfect Binding

Pages are bonded together using hot melt adhesive to form a spine. This binding method is cost-effective and requires professional machinery to operate, making it suitable for various documents and books. Perfect binding creates a neat and organized appearance, facilitating portability and storage. It is a permanent binding method and does not allow for easy replacement or addition of pages. Therefore, when choosing a binding method, it is important to consider the size of the document, frequency of use, and long-term preservation requirements.

Saddle Stitch Binding

Staple binding is a quick and simple binding method suitable for booklets, pamphlets, and weekly reports. Staple binding allows for easy flipping of pages and is convenient for carrying and storage. However, staple binding has very low durability as the staples can easily become loose, fall out, or even rust. Additionally, it is not possible to easily replace or add pages with this binding method. Therefore, when choosing a binding method, it is important to consider the size of the document, frequency of use, and long-term preservation requirements.

Iron Clamp Binding

A paper clip is a common binding tool for loose-leaf documents, typically made of metal. It usually consists of two bent metal strips that can easily grip the edges of the papers. Paper clips are easy to use, convenient, and suitable for temporary document organization and arrangement. They do not require any glue or staples, allowing for easy replacement and adjustment of pages. However, paper clips can cause the edges of the documents to curl. Therefore, paper clips are primarily suitable for quick documents or temporary use.

Wire Binding

Following the traditional method of sewn binding, compared to regular printed materials, sewn binding is distinctive and stands out, with a key focus on ease of page turning. Sewn binding is an ancient document binding method that uses thread to securely stitch the pages together. This binding method is sturdy and durable, suitable for books, notebooks, and exquisite documents. Sewn binding allows for easy page flipping and provides a sophisticated appearance. Additionally, sewn binding allows the pages of the document to fully open, facilitating reading and writing. However, sewn binding requires manual craftsmanship and time, making it relatively more expensive. Therefore, it is primarily suitable for long-term preservation and important documents.

Our custom menus are one-of-a-kind and can be tailored to the buyer’s preferences. For room service menus, we intentionally make them thick and sturdy to prevent them from being taken away, but we can also make them small and thin based on the buyer’s needs. The materials used for the inside and outside of the menu can be mixed and matched to provide a wide range of options. We recommend using a four-hole metal clip for quick and easy replacement of the pages during events.

We support a variety of fine art papers for the inner pages.

The inner pages of this design utilize our proprietary technology, which includes cardboard pages, and is one of our recommended options. The entire series features pages that can be easily added, removed, or replaced, and we support the purchase of various types of fine art paper, waterproof paper, cardboard pages, and magazine paper for the inner pages. If you prefer not to use PVC materials, the aforementioned materials can be purchased separately for use as inner pages. However, only our shop’s products feature inner pages that are easy to flip, durable, without rebounding, and without cracking or splitting along the spine. For estimated production time and costs, please feel free to inquire.

Cardboard inner pages

This image shows a close-up comparison of the 1mm thick side-sealed edge of a cardboard inner page. The area circled in red is where the inner page is easily touched, so it has been folded and sealed to prevent the pages from splitting, effectively extending the lifespan of the inner pages. Side-sealed cardboard inner pages are one of the original and recommended options for inner pages offered by our store.

General Sika paper inner page

This image shows a close-up comparison of the side edge of a commonly used 220-pound thickness cultural paper. The red circle indicates the area where the edge is most likely to be touched and also the easiest to fork. Therefore, our shop has applied a technique to round the edges slightly to reduce the frequency of forking, but it will eventually still fork.
